What We Install
Facade and Architectural Uplighting
Fixtures set at the base of the house to wash stone, brick, siding and columns with light. This is what gives a house presence from the street at night and it is usually the first thing people notice about a lighting plan.
Path and Walkway Lighting
Low fixtures spaced along walks, driveways and garden paths so the surface underfoot is lit rather than glaring into your eyes. Good spacing matters more than fixture count here.
Tree Downlighting and Moonlighting
Fixtures mounted up in a mature tree and aimed down through the branches, throwing a soft, dappled light across a lawn or patio the way a full moon does. It is the most natural looking light you can put in a yard.
Hardscape, Step and Retaining Wall Lighting
Small fixtures tucked under caps, treads and wall courses to pick out the edges of steps and walls. On stone steps this is a safety fix as much as a design one, and it is the section of the yard where a missed step actually hurts someone.
Patio and Deck Lighting
Lighting built into the living space itself, including post caps, riser lights, and fixtures aimed at the planting beds and trees around a patio so the space reads larger after dark.

Uplighting aimed into the trees around a patio, with the seating area itself kept at a lower light level so the space feels finished rather than floodlit.
Stone steps and a retaining wall with each tread lit from the side. This is the detail that keeps guests from misjudging a step on the way to the driveway.
Why Landscape Lighting Is Worth Doing
- Curb appeal after dark. A house that disappears at sunset is a house nobody sees for half the year. Lighting is one of the few exterior improvements that works on a rainy Tuesday in November.
- Safety on steps and walks. Stairs, grade changes and long walkways are where people fall. Lighting the tread rather than the sky is the whole job.
- Use of the yard after dark. A patio, deck or fire pit area that is lit gets used on weeknights in spring and fall, not just at midday in July.
